WBI does not have an endowment. It relies wholly on the financial support of professional corporations through donations, memberships or sponsorships and fees. In addition, its supporters donate thousands of hours of time to select and train companies.

To date, the Institute’s 700+ alumni companies have raised almost $5 Billion in private equity, and have employed over 100,000. Each year, Institute mentors (some 175) donate over 5,000 hours, allowing the Institute to provide nearly ½-1% of the venture quality deal flow in the U.S.

This has been accomplished through establishing value-added relationships between entrepreneurs, capital providers, and key professionals who specialize in equity capital-backed businesses. These education-based offerings allow businesses to successfully present their opportunity to investors.
